Sunbeams
Waking up next to you,
Sunbeams from my window,
Illuminating your face,
Illuminating my faith.
Specializing in word vomit, poetry and grumblings.
Waking up next to you,
Sunbeams from my window,
Illuminating your face,
Illuminating my faith.
I want to introduce you to a world you’ve never known,
Love you’ve never experienced.
Words refusing to crawl out of my finger tips,
And on to the keyboard,
Like spiders,
Invading the keys,
The way you’ve invaded my mind.
I can’t tell you,
I’ve got holes in my soul,
The size of canyons,
because it’s not fair of me to expect you to fill them up,
But my god,
What I’d do to hear the sound of your voice echoing through them.
Say you’ll stay beside me.
the way no one else has.
Say you’ll hold me,
When the night seems never ending.
Most of the time I feel like a one hit wonder.
Most of the time I am.
But you listen to the whole album,
Every song,
Every lyric,
Every word.
I want to travel a thousand miles with you.
Take me to the ends of the earth,
And show me the world.
I’ll never forget the way you smiled,
When you kissed me.
Like a wave of happiness just crashed into your body.
I wanna be that wave every day,
Crashing into you.
I want to curl up on the couch with you,
And watch all your favorite movies,
Because I love the way you love them.
I want our memories to be the most beautiful things you’ve ever watched.
I want to write symphonies,
With your heart beat,
And the way that you breath.
Because that sound,
Is more beautiful than strings.
